Alliances, truces and enemies
The four relations between factions, how to make or break them, and what they change.
Contents
Between two factions, the relation is ally, truce, neutral or enemy. All factions start out neutral towards each other.
Making or breaking a relation
| Command | Effect |
|---|---|
/f ally <faction> | Proposes an alliance. |
/f truce <faction> | Proposes a truce. |
/f neutral <faction> | Returns to neutrality. |
/f enemy <faction> | Declares war: a window asks you to confirm. |
These commands also exist as /f relation ally, /f relation enemy, and so on. They are reserved for
moderators, co-leaders and the leader.
Who decides?
Each faction states its wish, and the less friendly of the two applies:
- an alliance only exists if both factions ask for it: your request is sent to the other faction,
which accepts by answering
/f ally <your faction>; - a declaration of war is enough to make both factions enemies, without their agreement;
- to end a war, both factions must go back to neutral.
Server limits
| Relation | Maximum number |

| Truce | none: truces are not open at the moment |
| Neutral | unlimited |

What each relation changes
| Ally | Neutral | Enemy | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Members fighting each other | No | Yes | Yes |
| Taking land by overclaiming | No | Yes | Yes |
| Colour on the map and in chat | light purple | white | red |
| Shared chat channel | Yes (/f chat alliance) | No | No |
Warps reachable with /f warp ally | Yes, if your ally allows it | No | No |
Inside your territory, other factions have no rights by default, allies included. Your leader can
open some of them to your allies with /f perm: opening doors, using chests, teleporting to your
warps… (see Ranks and permissions).
An alliance means a combat partner and a territory neither of you can take from the other. Choose it well: you only get one.
Talking with your allies
| Command | Effect |
|---|---|
/f chat alliance | Your messages go to the alliance channel (/f chat to switch channel). |
/f chat faction | Your faction's private channel. |
/f chat public | Back to the general chat. |
/f togglealliancechat | Hides or shows the alliance channel for you. |
Moderators and above also have a reserved channel: /f chat mod. Faction and alliance channels also
show up in the website's messaging; see Chat and its channels.
