The zaap network
Teleport portals to discover while exploring. How to find them, travel, and what blocks a trip.
Contents
Zaaps are teleport portals spread across the world, in the spirit of Dofus zaaps. Every zaap you discover becomes a destination: from any zaap, you can then travel to all the ones you know.
There are three kinds of zaaps:
| Type | Who places it | Page |
|---|---|---|
| Server zaaps | the team, at key spots (and one at each graveyard) | this page |
| Personal zaaps | any player | /wiki/player-zaaps |
| Faction zaaps | a faction's officers, on its territory | /wiki/faction-zaaps |
Discovering a zaap
Just walk into a zaap's area: a "Zaap Discovered!" title appears with its name, along with a sound. The zaap is immediately added to your list of destinations.
As you get close, you can spot a zaap by its floating name, its particles and its ambient effects.
You cannot discover a zaap located in enemy territory. Some faction zaaps are also hidden: reserved for their faction and its allies, they cannot be discovered freely.
Travelling
- Go to a zaap you have discovered and walk into its area: the destination menu opens by itself.
- Pick your destination. The price is shown before you confirm.
- Don't move during the 3-second warm-up: the slightest step or hit taken cancels the trip.
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Price of a trip (server zaap) | 10 |
| Warm-up | 3 seconds, cancelled if you move or get hit |
| Delay before returning to the same destination | 60 seconds |
| Protection on arrival | 5 seconds |
Personal and faction zaaps have their own prices, set by their owner.
Progressive cooldown
Chaining trips costs time: over a 5-minute window, each new trip lengthens your cooldown. It starts at 5 seconds and grows by half with each trip, up to 2 minutes at most. It drops back when you stop travelling.
What blocks a trip
| Situation | Effect |
|---|---|
| You are tagged in combat | trip impossible |
| An enemy is within 15 blocks of you | trip impossible (anti-escape) |
| The zaap is out of order | trip impossible until the outage ends |
| Your faction is under siege | trip impossible (see /wiki/faction-zaaps) |
| You don't have enough money | trip refused |
Network outages
The network isn't infallible: from time to time, a zaap goes out of order for a few minutes (rarely the whole network). A poorly maintained zaap whose condition degrades also ends up breaking down until it is repaired (see /wiki/player-zaaps).
Around server zaaps
Zaaps placed by the team are transit points: within 5 blocks of them, PvP is disabled and blocks cannot be interacted with. Nobody can wait for you at the portal exit.
Group travel
If you travel with friends, group travel takes along every player who wants to come within 10 blocks, with a 20% discount. The group leader pays, and everyone has to confirm (they have 30 seconds to do so).
