From your first login to your first faction, the five things to do right away.

Just arrived on PVPFACTION? This page takes you from the Minecraft title screen to your first territory without missing anything important. Each step links to a more detailed page if you want to dig deeper.
1. Connect to the server
In Minecraft Java Edition, open Multiplayer › Add Server and enter the address
play.pvpfaction.net. Double-click the server to join.
Tip — The details (versions, connection problems, allowed mods) are on Joining the server.
2. Follow the three steps of the welcome area
On your very first login, you appear in the welcome area: a protected platform where nobody can attack you. You also receive a starting balance to kick off your game, and two items in your hotbar:
| Item | Right-click | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| "Menu" compass | opens /menu | the server's main menu |
| "Enter the adventure" star | leaves the welcome area | drops you into the game world |
Three floating signs guide you: your menu, your kit, your faction. You don't have to follow them in order, but they cover the essentials. Everything is explained on the Welcome area page.
3. Grab your starter kit
Type /kit recrue: leather armour, a stone sword, pickaxe and axe, and some bread. It's free, but
only once — keep it for your first outing. Other class kits (soldier, archer, tank…) then recharge
regularly: see Kits.
4. Create or join a faction
On a PvP-Faction server you can play alone, but everything gets easier as a group: a protected territory, a shared bank, allies. Two options:
- create your own with
/f create <name>; - join an existing faction: spot a recruiter in chat (the Recruitment category) and ask for an invite.
Faction rules (ranks, territory, wars) are in the Factions section.
5. Enter the adventure
Right-click the star: the welcome area drops you at a random spot in the game world. From there, PvP is on — be careful while you have no gear.
Tip — Lost?
/menugives you access to the whole server at any time: kits, zaaps, faction, bounties, profile, settings.
What next?
A few habits to pick up in your first hour:
- Pick your language with
/lang: the whole server (and the website) speaks to you in English or French. See Changing your language. - Create your website account and link your Minecraft account: messaging, friends, vote tracking, the mobile app… See Linking your Minecraft account.
- Keep the cheat sheet handy: Essential commands.
- Read the rules before your first war: Server rules.
